Amsterdam is
a city famous for its picturesque canals,
elegant shops, colourful markets and lively
cosmopolitan atmosphere. Often dubbed ‘the
Venice of the North,’ Amsterdam is sure to
delight you, offering entertainment, culture and
cuisine to suit everyone. No visit to Amsterdam
would be complete without taking a cruise of the
canals, or visiting the Rijksmuseum, or the
Floating Flower Market, or strolling through the
city’s infamous, but very safe, Red Light
District. There is also plenty to keep children
occupied. The Artis Zoo, ‘Nemo’ Science
Exhibition, where they can get hands on with
technology, Madame Tussauds Amsterdam and the
Amsterdam Dungeon are well worth visiting.
Amsterdam is also a good base from which to
explore the North Netherlands, with is dykes and
windmills, cheeses and of course - clogs.
